The Dog House

Rusty pub in the south of London, which issues numbered Fez hats to the guests as a “waiting sign” for ordered bar meals. With this extraordinary gimmick you can do a lot of funny jokes!

The beer selection is good, as in almost all British pubs. The burgers are big, juicy and yummy, but the hunks are the “nachos with the usual suspects”. There is really everything, everything and everything on it, and it is a huge portion to be full.

Unfortunately, the service is friendly but still significantly upgradeable. Although contactless payment by credit card is explicitly offered, you are charged an extra fee when you reorder individual drinks at the bar. Unfortunately, when we left the pub, the bus service was interrupted due to a serious traffic accident on the line. So we went back and asked the bartender to call us a taxi. He only gave us the business card of a taxi-company and told us to call the taxi call ourselves with the mobile phone. Attentive service looks different.

My Tigertip

Good beer selection, great bar meals, but an improvable service.
